Hooper Targeted Again

Nigel Clough has once again reiterated his desire to launch a summer move for Scunthorpe's Gary Hooper, but only if the price is right.

"We would love him, but the deal has to be right.

He has proved himself in the last two seasons, but I don't think it would be right to go back on the principles we have laid down in the last 18 months.

If it is a good deal fee-wise and contract-wise then, yes, we would certainly be interested. If they are going above our valuation of him, then we will walk away and move onto the next target."

Clough was talking to the Evening Telegraph.

Hooper certainly ticks the boxes that we've been requiring in a striker, and been lacking for sometime now, whether or not we'll be in a position to be able to make this happens remains to be seen though as there is bound to be a lot of interest in the goal getter if Scunthorpe do decide to let him leave?

Cloughie is really interested in Hooper isn't he. We could do with a goalscorer like him but I think others that are interested will get him, if they sell?
