Hunt To Return To Bolton

Nigel Clough had previously said he'd like to keep Nicky Hunt at Derby next season, this is now looking unlikely though.

Hunt has been on loan from Bolton this season but is expected to return to the Premier League club at the end of the campaign as his wages aren't something that we'd be able to cover. This, his wages, was a problem that Clough had previously said would be a major stumbling block in any attempts to sign him permanently or even agree another loan deal next season.

John Brayford has been a long-term transfer target for Clough so he's now expected to step up his effort to sign the fullback, who previously played for him at Burton Albion, from Crewe in the summer.
