'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Clough Content With A Point

Derby picked up what could be another precious point on Tuesday following the 1-1 draw at Queens Park Rangers.

Nigel Clough was disappointed with the way we conceded late in the first half but was happy to take a point, something that he would've taken before the match.

"I would have taken a point beforehand but I'm disappointed with the manner of the goal we conceded.

If we had made it to half-time then we might have gone on to win it 1-0."

Shaun Barker proved the hero for us scoring the second half equaliser, however it was his overall performance, at both ends, that drew praise from the Rams boss.

"Shaun (Barker) was outstanding at both ends, he headed everything and scored a very good goal and got an important point for us."

Clough was talking after the QPR match.

It's another valuable point towards Championship survival, another half a dozen should secure this I'd think.
