'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hendrie Critical of Rams Style

Lee Hendrie has criticised Derby County's style upon leaving to play for Brighton on loan until the end of the season.

In an interview with the official Brighton website, Hendrie said: 'It's been frustrating for me because my last two clubs have not played my style of football. I've been trying to get on the ball down to play, but it hasn't happened for me.

'But I'm not one of these players that want to sit about, I want to play football as long as I can, so I'm really excited to be here.'

Given his total lack of impact on the Derby side (except an assist in the 2-2 draw against West Brom) it seems rather unfair that Hendrie should give a parting shot to Nigel Clough, especially given the fact that he hasn't been available for selection as a result of a pretty atrocious injury record during his time with The Rams.

You're are better off without him. Arrogant, opinionated and nowhere as good as he thinks he is, he certainly sat around taking the obcene amount of money Robson gave him on a three year contract while he was at Sheffield.
