Pleasing Win All Round For Crosby

Derby completed a double over Watford this season after the 2-0 win at Pride Park on Saturday.

A clean sheet was good for the defence however Nigel Clough's assistant Gary Crosby was happy for everyone concerned.

"It was pleasing to get a clean sheet as well but I'm pleased for the whole team, not just the back four and the goalkeeper."

Michael Tonge, who opened the scoring for us with a quality goal, came in for special praise though as he overcame a serious virus to start the match.

"He has been struggling all week with a virus but he wanted to play for as long as he could today.

Michael adds quality. He's very comfortable with possession in any area of the pitch and he is a lovely lad as well.

He's gone to Stoke and they are doing very, very well and he's unfortunate not to be involved there more often than he has been, but that's to our benefit at the moment."

Crosby was talking after the match.

This win moves us further away from trouble, something we should avoid now, but leaves Watford left among a congested group towards the bottom.
