Is It Too Late For A Play-off Push?

Tuesday's 5-3 win over Preston saw us close the gap on the play-off positions to 8 points, is that gap bridgeable?

Most importantly it extended the gap between the relegation places and us but could a late surge for the play-offs still be on for the Rams?

I'd have to say that we've been too inconstant this season, and in recent seasons really, to think that we could go on a 10-match unbeaten run, or something like that as we'd have to, and are also conceding too many goals.

However if we've adopted a "we'll outscore you approach" the remainder of the season will certainly be entertaining so if Nigel Clough can have some fortune with injuries and suspensions to allow him to pick unchanged sides, as much as possible (something he's not been able to much), could this late surge still be on?
