Lightening Cant Strike Twice?

Lightening Cant Strike Twice?

Miles Addison looks set to miss the rest of the season through injury.

Nigel Clough is very pessimistic about the 21-year-olds chances of returning to fitness this season and has virtually written off the defenders season.

"Miles is still having scans and I think this season is a write-off.

He has such a rare injury and the specialists are dealing with it, but we are looking as far afield as we have to to get people with experience."

Clough was talking to BBC Radio Derby.

Addison has a stress fracture of his foot, the same injury that saw him miss several months of last season as well, which has limited him to just 12 matches this time.

I'm just worried about Addison, such a highly rated player (and much sought after according to reports) going the same way as the last ray of light that we saw come through, Giles Barnes! Once injuries set in with the Rams midfielder that ruined his career at Pride Park and is most likely going to ruin his football career.

The same can't happen with Addison here, can it? Fate couldn't be that cruel to us could it!
