Clough Feels Hard Done By
Derby were closing in on a win over Birmingham on Saturday, then were just seconds away from an FA Cup replay at worse but Liam Ridgewell popped up to break our hearts.
The FA Cup run is over for another year after Premier League Birmingham came from behind to beat us 2-1 at the death at Pride Park, and pride is something we can have plenty of.
Nigel Clough feels that we've done ourselves credit but still felt hard done by in the end.
"I thought overall that we deserved at least a replay and we do feel slightly hard done by.
Stephen Bywater did not have much to do and we created enough situations ourselves when 1-0 up and did not sit back.
We were as comfortable as anyone can be when facing a team lying eighth in the Premier League but we were undone by two set plays. We look at the two goals and there was certainly an element of bad luck about them both."
Clough was talking to BBC Radio Derby.
