Clough: This Has Been Coming

Derby pulled off an amazing 3-0 win over the then Championship leaders Newcastle last night.

Few would've expected us to get much, if anything at all, however we came away from the Pride Park fixture with maximum points! Nigel Clough admits that the scoreline might've flattered us slightly but also said that a result like this has been brewing for some time.

"The score might flatter us a little but anyone who has seen us for the last few weeks would say a result like that has been coming.

It's reward for all the hard work in the last few weeks.

The first 15-20 minutes were as well as we've played since I've been here. Stephen Bywater hardly touched the ball."

Clough was talking after the match.
