'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Tonge Eager to Get Stuck In

Michael Tonge is looking forward to getting his Rams career under way, and says the move to Pride Park was an easy one to make in terms of the decision.

'I've not played for a good season and a bit so to be playing games is something I really relish,' Tonge told Rams Player.

'I felt in good condition when I went back to Stoke after my loan at Preston, so if I'm called upon to hit the ground running and start I'll be ready for it on Saturday.

'It was a rushed deal to get signed on Monday, but it was a move I didn't have to think twice about.

'Derby have been doing well in recent weeks and I believe are in a false position, so my aim is to settle in here and play my football....and help Derby County climb the Championship.'

Meanwhile, The Rams have revealed that Rob Hulse was the subject of two loan bids from Burnley and Stoke. The deadline for loans to the Premier League have passed, so Hulse cannot move up a division until the end of the season at the earliest.
