Transfer Update - Rams bring in Hunt

Derby County have completed the loan signing of Nicky Hunt from Bolton Wanderers on an initial month deal. It appears he has brought in as competition for the right back berth after Frederik Stoor returned to Fulham and he can also provide cover in the centre of defence according to Nigel Clough who told the official site:

'Nicky can play at right-back or centre-half so it is nice to have someone available to us who is equally comfortable in either position, and he also has good experience in both the Championship and also the Premier League.'

Speaking of the move Hunt say it was an easy decision to make and that other people he had spoken to told him Derby was a great club to play for and that he was impressed by the facilities and attendances at Pride Park. The opportunity to play first team football after falling down the pecking order at the Reebok Stadium also appealed and he told the Derby Evening Telegraph:

'I want to play games and be involved and the manager (Nigel Clough) has indicated that will happen here, so I'm delighted to have the chance to do that,'
