Reported Rams Target In No Hurry

Michael Symes is a reported transfer target of Nigel Clough but the striker is in no hurry to commit anywhere.

The 26-year-old has been in good form with Accrington Stanley and this has seen interest in the former Everton trainee, including a reported interest from Derby. Symes isn't treating this as anything more than speculation but wants to keep his options open.

"I'm happy to sign, but I'm just going to wait until the end of January and see what happens.

I'm aware of the interest, although it's just speculation. I'm just going to keep my options open for now before deciding."

Symes was talking to Sky Sports.

League Two is a lot different to the Championship though isn't it so even though the striker has something like 13 goals in 26 matches for Accrington there are no guarantees that he could do this at a higher level, then again we couldn't say that he wouldn't be able to.
