Clough: We Deserved It

Derby finally picked up that first away win after Saturday's 1-0 win over Watford at Vicarage Road.

It's something that we'd been threatening recently and those efforts are what Nigel Clough thought brought us something that we deserved.

"It's been a long, long wait for it (a first away win) but for the three performances we've put in this week we've deserved to win at least one of those games."

The Rams boss was happy with the fact that we limited a dangerous Watford side to just a few chances due to the solid nature that we played with.

"We look solid, we restricted an extremely good attacking side to very few opportunities and then we looked relatively dangerous ourselves.

We just felt if we kept it at 0-0, put the ball in the right areas then on a very difficult surface we might just get some reward today."

Clough was talking after the match.

Finally the wait is over!
