Chris Porter, Steve Davies and Kris Commons are getting ever closer to a return to action and could feature for the reserves when they take on West Bromwich Albion next Tuesday. Nigel Clough told the official website that they are showing extra caution with the later two due to previous reoccurrence of injuries:
'We're trying to be completely certain with Steven Davies and Kris Commons because of the amount of times they have broken down in the last few months.'
'We hope they feature in the reserves next week. If they do play, it will be hell of a team with a few others sprinkled around the team.'
Their comebacks are a welcome boost to The Rams squad which is slowly returning to full strength ahead of the busy Christmas period. Ben Pringle also looks set to play in the match after missing seven weeks with a knee injury although he was used mainly as a fringe player in the early weeks of the season before being hit by the Pride Park injury curse.
