Vaughan Set For Derby Return

Nigel Clough has made no secret of his desire to get Everton striker James Vaughan back at Derby and with him back in training now the Rams boss hopes to do this soon.

The 21-year-old saw his loan move cut short by a knee injury but is expected to return when the transfer window opens again in January. Clough is hoping that he'll be back training with us again soon so he can hit the ground running.

"We hope to get him down at some point for a training session with us, so he doesn't come in cold in January."

Clough was talking to the Evening Telegraph.

I don't think that it really matters if Vaughan is training with Everton or us as long as he is back in training and getting ready to play football again. On the other hand if Everton are willing to let him train with us ahead of his loan return this might not be a bad thing as he can get reacquainted with his teammates again.
