Clough: No Mentality To See It Through

Clough: No Mentality To See It Through

Derby's miserable away record continued as we lost at Swansea yesterday evening.

Swansea dominated the match, and how we'd kept it at 0-0 for so long was a surprise, but as we have so often this season we finally cracked and were beaten 1-0 in the final minutes.

"We defended reasonably well for 80 minutes, but we are not quite in the mentality to see it through.

We were not good enough going forward and gave the ball away far, far too many times. We couldn't put two passes together all evening.

We have to take some of our home form and home play into the away games. Confidence is a big factor."

Nigel Clough was talking after the defeat.

Confidence is a factor but so is mental toughness and we've obviously not got enough of this, however we need to find this fast! That first away win could see more follow, but this first away win doesn't seem like it's going to come anytime soon.
