Rams Sign Hughes

Rams Sign Hughes

With Derby's injury crisis seeming to increase by the match, if not the day, Nigel Clough has moved to sign Hull's Bryan Hughes on loan.

The 33-year-old has joined for an initial one-month spell with Clough pleased to bring in Hughes' experience as well as his ability to help ease this.

"I'm delighted. Bryan is a player who brings vast experience.

Everyone knows our injury situation and when we looked at available players, Bryan's name stood out."

Clough was talking to the official website.

Hughes hasn't played for the Premier League club this season and had been out of favour before this after arrival at the KC Stadium in 2007. The midfielder is expected, unsurprisingly so, to go straight into the squad to face QPR on Saturday and should be handed an immediate debut.
