Is Vaughan's Derby Loan Over?

Is Vaughan's Derby Loan Over?

James Vaughan's loan spell at Derby could be forced to end prematurely due to his latest knee injury.

The 21-year-old joined the Rams on loan last month until January but the Everton striker, who has been plagued by knee injuries in recent times, suffered a setback two weeks ago when he damaged his knee. Vaughan has since had minor surgery to have the cartilage in his knee trimmed and until the full extend of his recovery period is known his loan could be in doubt.

As this is a fresh injury, albeit another knee injury, it's hoped that the recovery period isn't going to be too long and at the moment there are no plans to end his loan from the Premier League side.

According to our OS he's been recalled. Bad news as a loan spell in the Championship could have really helped him progress. Chances are, once he recovers from yet another injury, he'll be sent out on loan again.
