Crosby: We Got The Response

A victory for Derby on Saturday after the 6-1 mauling at Cardiff on Tuesday would've been good, a 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday was even better.

A reaction to that heavy drubbing was demanded and Rams coach Gary Crosby was more than happy with the response given.

"We wanted a good response, and we got one (after the 6-1 midweek defeat at Cardiff).

It takes a hell of a lot of courage to go out in front of 30,000 people and keep on running and trying, and that's what our players did.

It helps that we are going into a two-week break on a high. It's come at the right time because it gives us a chance to get a few of the injured players fit."

Crosby was talking to BBC Radio Derby.

Had we gone into this break we now have, due to the international window, off the back of the 6-1 defeat and a negative result against Sheffield Wednesday it would've been a long two week! As it is we can now enjoy this break more after this win, and a good one, and go into it in a positive frame of mind.
