I think to say that Nigel Clough, and we, are "very disappointed" to be beaten 6-1 at Cardiff would be putting it mildly!
Having got ourselves back into the match through Rob Hulse Clough was expecting us to kick on but three goals from Michael Chopra in six minutes (and goals were something Clough said he'd been expecting from Chopra and Cardiff, but not against us) killed us off and that frustrated the Rams boss the most.
"I am very disappointed at the way we let the goals in particularly after getting back into the game straight after half time.
Cardiff were due a big win and Chopra some goals but it was a pity it had to come against us."
Cloughie was also disappointed that we didn't make more of the possession we had, and stats show we did have more of this but we didn't do enough with it, also bemoaning the injuries that are piling up.
"We had some reasonable possession and should have done better but we are decimated by injuries and only had six players on the bench."
Clough was talking after the defeat
Injuries haven't helped us, as Clough mentions, but it is still no excuse for a 6-1 mauling. It's just one of those things though, and one of those things we quickly have to forget about and move on from. However we make sure we learn from it!
