Clough: We Deserved It

Clough: We Deserved It

Derby finally ended the run of four straight defeats, including two in a row at home, with a 1-0 win over Bristol City on Saturday.

Nigel Clough felt that this was something we deserved as we kept going and kept creating chances, one of which we thankfully finally took late on.

"We kept going and we kept playing and trying to do the right things.

If you've created chances for 85 minutes you'll keep creating them if you keep going.

I thought the performance was very good and it's nice to get what we feel we deserve."

Clough was talking to the press after the match.

We missed several chances, some of which we shouldn't have, but Gary Teale thankfully turned up at the right place at the right time to ensure the run, a bad one, ended. We've now got to try and build on this and become more consistent in a positive light!
