Clough Optimistic About Commons
Kris Commons has been an injury doubt for Derby's match against Bristol City on Saturday but Nigel Clough expects him to be fit.
Not only were we denied a last gasp penalty against Crystal Palace last weekend Commons was also stretchered off and has been having calf treatment this week but Clough expects him to be fit.
"The injury is not as bad as first feared. It is still very sore because he took a heavy whack on the side of his calf.
He will have treatment and should be okay for Saturday."
Clough was talking to the Evening Telegraph.
With several other players also doubts, but again hopefully expected to be fit, this would be a big boost to us if the Scottish international is indeed passed fit.
