Barnes Set For Another Injury Layoff

Giles Barnes has picked up yet another injury, one that will definitely rule him out of the start of the season and possible more.

Things might not be too bad but Nigel Clough admits the early signs are worrying.

"Giles felt something in his Achilles. I think it was a combination of a kick and the way he fell.

We'll wait and see what the medical people say but it doesn't look too good at the moment."

Clough was talking to BBC Radio Derby.

The midfielder has had a nightmare time with injuries over the past two-years or so and these don't appear to be showing any signs of improving. The latest setback for Barnes is almost certain to ensure that he stays at Pride Park until at least January.

Now confirmed, looks like Barnes it out for some time again! Doesn't have much luck does he.
