Rams Close In On Randall

Derby have been linked with Mark Randall already this summer, and now it seems like Nigel Clough is closing in on deal for the Arsenal youngster.

Clough expects the midfielder to join the Rams on our tour of South West, ahead of a probable loan arrangement.

"I think we've got the okay from Arsenal that he will be joining up with us on Tuesday and hopefully he will feature in two out of the three games, probably Tuesday and Saturday.

This week will be ideal to have a look at him with a view to a loan - maybe to January or maybe for the whole season.

There is no point coming training. You can only see a certain amount in training but this way we can see him in games."

The 19-year-old, who would technically be on trial, should then sign a loan deal until at least Christmas, which we could maybe extend until the end of the season? This could be a season long loan deal to begin with anyway?
