Clough Right Not To Offer Fotheringham A Contract

That is according to the latest Vital Derby poll results anyway, which sees the vast majority saying that Nigel Clough was right to turn Mark Fotheringham away.

Should we have offered Mark Fotheringham a contract?

No, Nigel knows best. We already have better (84%)
Yes, he's got quality and experience (16%)

Fotheringham came to Derby for a week long trial recently and is believed to have worked very hard during this time, and also put in a good enough performance in a pre-season match. However Cloughie believes that the midfielder was too similar to other players we have, but not better so he didn't offer him a contract, and rightly so. That's what 84% felt anyway!
