Dickinson Joins Brighton

Liam Dickinson completed his move to Brighton yesterday for an undisclosed fee.

The striker has signed a three-year contract with Brighton.

"We're delighted that we've made the signing. I wanted to strengthen the forward line, and he brings something different to the table.

His goalscoring record is very good and he has a good goals-per-game ratio, and like one or two of the other signings I have made this summer, he is hungry to get his career back on track. I'm sure there is a lot more to come from him.

It's taken a little time to get this one completed, but I'm sure it will prove worth the wait and everyone at the club has worked hard to get him here, so I'm delighted about that."

Brighton boss Russell Slade was talking to the official Brighton website.

The 23-year-old leaves Derby having failed to make a first team appearance since joining from Stockport last summer for 750,000.

A big money flop, or one that has got away? We signed him for 750,000 and sold for a reported 100,000 so that seems to suggest a big money flop? However he never got the chance to be called a flop did he?
