Dickinson Exit Expected This Week

Liam Dickinson playing a part in Saturday's pre-season friendly at Burton might have surprised many, with a move to Brighton looking on, but Nigel Clough expects this to go through this week.

"I think things are moving with Brighton, I think something will happen this week.

You think, 'should we have played him at Burton' but 40 minutes will not do him any harm at all.

I thought for the first 15 or 20 minutes of the second half when he came on, he was a handful."

Clough was talking to the Evening Telegraph.

Dickinson picked up a slight calf knock, but this isn't serious and a move to the League One side is still expected to happen this week.

Some might think that playing him was a risk, with a move on, but as the striker is still our player that was our call and thankfully this hasn't caused any major problems, but also gave Clough another chance to have a final look at Dickinson.

Cannot believe he has not been a success at Derby. The bloke will bag goals galore in League one with BHA. He could still do a job for you. Anyway... any chance of letting us (Stockport) have him back on the cheap?
