Price Training With Brentford

Nigel Clough has admitted that loaning Lewis Price out this season is something that he wants to do and this could see him join Brentford for the season.

Brentford are one of a number of sides believed to be interested in the goalkeeper and he is currently training with them.

"Lewis has gone training with Brentford but there are one or two other clubs interested in him. I think he will make a decision at the end of the week."

Clough was talking to the Evening Telegraph.

The 24-year-old, a Welsh international in case we had forgotten, hasn't played for us since January 2008 when we were still in the Premier League. Price has since had loan spells with MK Dons and Luton but remains third choice behind Stephen Bywater and Roy Carroll.

Price is still very young for a goalkeeper, and is a player I still hope we keep in the long term, so sending him out on loan for the season seems a good idea.

It'll be a good move for Price, one that I welcome but I still think he should have a Rams future.
