Clough Pleased To Start And End At Home

Nigel Clough has revealed that he's happy to see Derby start and end the season at Pride Park, but isn't sure if this is actually an advantage or not!

The Derby boss knows that regardless things aren't going to be easy for us this season, especially with us facing promoted sides so early in the Championship campaign.

"It is good to be at home for the opening game of the season but we will have to be a little bit cautious.

Our first two League games are against promoted sides who will be on a high.

Ideally, you would want to play them a bit later in the season but you have to play every team some time.

I'm not sure if it is an advantage or disadvantage."

Clough was talking to the Evening Telegraph.

I'd rather be at home than away to start the season, however that early in the campaign it's not actually that much of an advantage is it, or is it? Peterborough are going to be up for their first Championship match for a while wherever it was.
