Pearson Plays Mears' Portsmouth Links

Tyrone Mears has been linked with a move to Premier League side Portsmouth but Adam Pearson has played down these links but would let the right back go if the right offer came in.

"We have had some sniffs on Tyrone but nothing concrete. Obviously, if the right offer came along, we would let him go.

But he is a good player who gives us pace and, if he doesn't go, we are quite happy to have him here and he can battle it out with Paul Connolly and see how it goes."

Pearson was talking to the Evening Telegraph.

Mears shouldn't, and probably isn't going to have a future at Pride Park so if an acceptable offer does come in for the Jamaican international I don't think that the chairman, or boss, will take much time thinking it over!
