Exeter boss Paul Tisdale has said that Derby target Dean Moxey can leave the club if the right price is received.
"I've got no problem with Dean leaving, as long as we get a good deal for the club.
"It's not a case of holding on to him really, but more a sense of getting good business out of the move.
"I would be happy for Dean to move on because it would be a good move for him to further his career, but only if the business is right.
"If a player is going to be bought then there has to be three parties which are happy, the player and the two clubs in question."
Moxey isn't going anywhere unless the South West club get an offer that matches their valuation.
"We didn't receive an offer which matched our value for Dean, so he is still with us and until we see an offer which we think is appropriate then he will stay here.
"I'm not sure whether we will get another offer for him and it all depends on Derby really whether they come back to us with an improved offer."
Tisdale was talking to Skysports.com.
Moxey hasn't ever said that he wants to leave Exeter but has admitted that he, like any player, does want to test himself at the highest level that he can and a move to Derby would be another step up the ladder, which has already seen him go from non-league to League One in the last two seasons.
Our opening offer, which was rejected, was believed to have been around £200,000 but it isn't yet known if we'll be making a fresh move for the player?
