Moxey Flattered By Derby Interest

Exeter's Dean Moxey has admitted that he's flattered with our interest in him and appears hopeful of a deal being arranged.

"It is flattering for me. It is obviously nice to be wanted, any player will tell you that.

"I heard rumours that Derby were interested in me, but I wasn't too sure what was going to happen.

"The manager rang me up the other day to tell me that Derby had put a bid in and he would get back to me with any developments.

"Obviously it is an exciting prospect playing in the Championship. I want to play at the highest possible level. If I didn't, I shouldn't be playing football.

"It is out of my hands at the moment. If the two clubs agree a fee, then it comes down to me."

Moxey was talking to the Evening Telegraph.

Every player wants to play at a higher level and if they didn't there would be something wrong, so Moxey is no different than any other and his thoughts are understandable.

We'll have to improve on our 200,000 offer that was rejected, but if a fee can be agreed it doesn't look like he'll be saying no to us.
