Watford Await "Official" Conformation On Ellington

Watford have said that they are still awaiting official confirmation from Derby stating that we aren't going to be taking up our option to sign Nathan Ellington.

"We haven't had a definitive answer from Derby. If he does come back then we will deal with it as and when we have to.

"Our manager (Brendan Rodgers) has made it clear that Nathan is not for him, so everyone knows what we want to do."

Watford chief executive Julian Winter was talking to the Watford Observer.

Nigel Clough has already basically said that Ellington isn't in his plans, although the thought is that we could sign Ellington, as per our agreement, but then sell him so Watford want to know what the situation is? Selling him could prove the tricky part though!

Christ imagine if that isn't permanent now - no going back for Bredan Rodgers after that quote.
