El Hamdaoui returns to Rams

Mounir El Hamdaoui is on his way back to Derby having recovered from a hernia opperation last month.

The Spurs striker, who hasn't played since the 2-2 draw with Leicester, is under contract to the Rams until May.

Mounir had proved to be popular with supporters scoring 3 goals in his brief stays with the Rams, but seems to see the move back to Derby as unlucky!

Derby boss Terry Westley told the clubs official website: 'We are going to look at his mental condition and if he is in the right frame of mind he will train on Thursday and will be available for selection if I want him'

It's looking like a good week on the pitch for Derby as both Michael and Seth Johnson are on the way back too (see separate article).

Mounir is a fantastic prospect and what I saw of him in the reserves looks quite 'sparky'. Also worthy of note is that Mounir is the only player that Arnesen wanted to take with him to Chelsea...

how come you never buy players and only loan them. each season youve got different players,.
