Clough's Most Pleasing Points

Nigel Clough was left very pleased following Derby's 2-1 win over Bristol City at Pride Park on Saturday, having not played that well!

"Without a doubt it is the most pleasing three points since I have been here.

"It was the way we achieved it without playing great and taking the game to the opposition.

"I think it has evened itself out after midweek. The way the games went you might have thought we would have got three points on Wednesday."

Clough was talking on Saturday after the match.

After taking a first minute lead we looked as though this would be enough to see us through to victory but Bristol City hit back with a late goal, but and even later one saw us collect the three points in a match that we didn't play very well in.

Winning when not playing well is commonly known as a sign of a good team and further bodes well for next season.
