Price Returns But Is Carroll On His Way?

Lewis Price has returned to Derby after his loan at MK Dons, but is his return to cover for the departing Roy Carroll? Reports are saying that Tottenham want him.

The 24-year-old has been with the Dons for a month, but now returns with their thanks. All of this comes about with Carroll linked with a cut-price move to Tottenham, who almost signed another of our goalkeepers Stephen Bywater in the summer, himself being linked with Forest following Billy Davies' arrival as manager.

Nigel Clough needs to trim the squad and his predecessor Paul Jewell often said that three senior goalkeepers was too many, so allowing one to go could be on the cards but will it be Carroll or Bywater, leaving the Welsh international as our back-up, if not first choice goalkeeper?

Carroll would be a sound substitute of a keeper keeping Gomes on his toe`s and giving the Spurs fans a chance to banter Carroll for pulling the certain goal that never was back out of the net when he played for munure utd a few seasons ago .

I would have thought James was more in 'Arry line.

that is a good job that you have got carrol because he will not let that many goals in.

This is a deal we might hear more about after the Carling Cup tonight, defeat and an exit could see this deal happen quickly, if we make the final the chances are he will not want to go.
