'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cup Will Not Distract Derby

The draw for the Quarter-Final of the Carling Cup will be made on Saturday, but Paul Jewell insists that this will not be a distraction from our Championship match with Sheffield Wednesday.

'It is a cliché but we are only concerned with the Sheffield Wednesday game.

'Obviously it is great to be in the next round but our attentions will be on league points and not who we get in the draw.'

Jewell was speaking after our Carling Cup win over Leeds.

The draw takes place shortly before our match with Wednesday at Pride Park, so the worry is some players might have half a mind on that, especially with teams such as Arsenal and Manchester United still in the draw but Jewell will look to stamp these thoughts out!
