'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Door's Open For Savage

Robbie Savage returns to Derby next week from his loan with Brighton, something that he is already expecting, and now Paul Jewell has said the door is still open for him to play a part this season.

'If he comes and does his best he's got a chance of being in the team.

'In football it's important to never say never, Robbie Savage is no different to any other player.'

Jewell was talking to BBC Radio Derby.

If Savage can prove that he has the hunger for the fight at Pride Park then I don't have many doubts that he could still offer us something this season. How he reacts to his return, and maybe not being involved for a while will determine how things go. If he is gracious and battles fairly then he has a chance, if he sulks and whinges like he can then his Derby career is done!
