Addison Signs New Three-Year Rams Deal

Miles Addison has signed a new three-year contract with Derby, a contact that chairman of football Adam Pearson believes the teenager deserves.

'The manager is delighted with Miles and we hope he is going to go from strength to strength.

'He gave a very strong performance at Barnsley on Saturday.

'His contract is incentive-based and is a reward for the progress he has made.

'He is a well-balanced and grounded young man. He is a delight to have around the place.'

Pearson was talking to the Evening Telegraph.

The 19-year-old has come through our Academy ranks, and although a central defender he has been used as a midfielder in recent matches, with it thought that Paul Jewell sees this as Addison's best position.

Addison has been a real plus point for us in recent weeks, in what has been a disappointing, frustrating and at times unfortunate season so far.
