Mears In Trouble After Unauthorised Trial

Tyrone Mears is heading for trouble when he returns to Derby after an unauthorised spell in France, in which he is thought to have undertook a trial with French giants Marseille. Mears is thought to have been under the impression a loan deal had been agreed so flew over to France yesterday but Adam Pearson has this wasn't the case and he will be fined.

'To take off without being given permission and go on trial beggars belief.

'There is little doubt he will be disciplined in the most severe way possible.

'We are prepared to sell him but the price will have to be right. He is a proven player with a transfer value.'

What a bizarre situation! I'm not sure how a player could think a deal had been agreed if it hadn't, maybe an agent had something to do with this?

You couldn't blame him for going over to Marseille though could you, as wouldn't you if you thought a deal was lined up!

i cant believe youre talking of getting rid of jewell with your ridiculous poll. jewell is a great manager. give it time. fans are ever so quick to snap. its ludicrous.

fans are quick to snap?? hold on here.. he's had alomst a year. and yes he did inherit billy davies' team, but he has made his own signings to in january window and during the summer - which arent good enough. and im not ashamed to say paul jewell probably should have more time, but he has got to start producing some type of league form...
