Derby Sign Arsenal's Barazite

One of Arsenal's almost unlimited crop of youngsters, Nacer Barazite, has joined Derby on loan. Paul Jewell is pleased to bring in Barazite, who has joined for a month, and this might be extended for longer.

'Nacer is young but has played in their first-team and he will come here to join up with our squad.

'I am quite keen to get a link up with some of the top teams and I spoke to (Arsenal manager) Arsene Wenger over the summer about a few players.

'Nacer is going to be a good player and if he does well here then hopefully we can keep him for longer than a month. He is an exciting prospect, a very good footballer, and he will be a good addition to our squad.'

Jewell was talking to the official website.

The 18-year-old Dutchman has made two appearances for Arsenal and is an attacking midfielder or a striker. He made his Rams debut in the reserves yesterday where he set up two goals.
