Thoughts On Derby Hat-Trick Hero Ellington

We were minutes away from yet another defeat on Tuesday before Nathan Ellington popped up with a deserved equaliser, he then went on to complete his hat-trick in extra time to see us through. Paul Jewell has expressed just how frustration Ellington can be.

'The Duke drives you mad at times. He had you pulling your hair out but then the next minute he can have you jumping out of your seat.'

Lincoln looked like causing a Carling Cup upset, which would've put even more pressure on Jewell, but Ellington's late equaliser sent the tie into extra time. Another two goals in extra time saw him completed his treble, which will hopefully the first of many for Derby.

This is the Ellington we want to see, and is the reason why Jewell decided to bring in the man that he knows so well from Watford this summer.

The third was a real cracker. Burch our keeper was a real collosus though otherwise it could have been a lot worse for us.
