Jewell Relieved To Finally Gain A Win!

Paul Jewell was relived to finally get his first competitive win at Pride Park under his belt as Derby boss after the Carling Cup win over Lincoln. He now hopes that this can inspire many more.

'Only time will tell but I think we've turned a bit of a corner.

'One win isn't going to make a massive amount of difference but it could be a springboard and you can see the relief in the players in the dressing room.'

Jewell was talking to BBC Radio Derby.

Nathan Ellington's hat-trick meant that we enjoyed our first win under Jewell, who arrived in November last year. It is essential that we now build on this and prove that the defeat to Doncaster was merely a blip.

I wonder how he felt we played? Millions of pounds spent during the summer, and we have spent about £20,000, not enough for Savages hair dressing bill/wage for the month.
