Derby Play Down Savage Exit Reports

Derby have played down reports that Robbie Savage could leave Pride Park to return to one of his former clubs, and local rivals, Leicester City. This denial comes after comments made by their chairman Milan Mandaric.

'His name was mentioned but we've got to look at the make-up of the team.

'We'll look at whether we need an additional player like Robbie and make a decision at that time.'

Mandaric had said this to BBC Radio Leicester.

The BBC reports that a spokesman for Derby has denied that he will be leaving for Leicester, but I suspect that if they are able to come up with an offer suitable for us and can meet his wage demands this could be a deal that could happen. If it comes down to money though I`m not sure that a League One club could afford the best part of £100,000 per month on wages, as this is what he reportedly gets.

He's not really doing himself any favours with his attitude and reaction is he, which is basically going along with that of the one so many people have of him.
