Pereplotkin Next For Rams?

Paul Jewell could make Latvian Andrey Pereplotkin his twelfth Derby summer signing after he impressed against FC Utrecht on Saturday afternoon, as he had during training prior to that.

'He did very well in training on Thursday and Friday and has done well again (against Utrecht). We'll see what the situation is.'

Jewell was talking to the official website.

Pereplotkin is a 23-year-old striker, with the Latvian international currently on trial with the club from Skonto FC. His impact in the 2-2 draw with the Dutch side, and by all accounts his effort in training, could see him earn himself a deal at Pride Park.
