Pearson Move Back On?

Stephen Pearson's move to Birmingham could be back on, despite it appearing to have fallen through last week as Paul Jewell has revealed Pearson could make the move in an initial loan capacity.

'There is a small injury and they're not sure about his medical, so it might be a loan situation the last I heard.

'Stephen wants it to happen, and Alex (McLeish) wants it to happen.

'So as far as I'm concerned, it will happen. It's in limbo at the moment, but things are ongoing.'

Jewell was talking in the Birmingham Mail.

A £600,000 fee had been agreed with terms discussed and also agreed, the only sticking point were concerns over a groin injury the midfielder had picked up which could take several weeks to heal due to a tear, with this revealed during his medical. Initially allowing him to leave on loan, before a permanent signing agreement (even if this comes in January) seems the fairest way to go.

Although reports in the Evening Telegraph today have said that the 25-year-old has rejected the move in a loan capacity!
