Hulse And Kazmierczak Complete Derby Moves

Rob Hulse and Przemyslaw Kazmierczak completed their transfer to Derby this morning. Hulse has signed a three-year contract, signing from Sheffield United for £1.75m and Paul Jewell is delighted with his signing, and believes he will be an excellent addition to our squad.

'This is a terrific capture for us and I am really excited to have added a player of Rob Hulse's calibre to our squad.

'Rob is a player I've admired for a very long time and tried to sign on more than one occasion in the past.

'He has tremendous attributes as a forward; strong, brave, athletic and an eye for goal.

'His attitude is also first-class and he is hungry to return to the highest level and to do it with Derby County.

'It barely took any persuading to get Rob to join Derby County. He knows this is a huge club with great ambition and his ambition and desire matches ours.'

Kazmierczak has signed on loan for the season from Porto, and Jewell believes that the Polish international's quality and experience of footballer at the very highest level will also be highly beneficial to us this season.

'This is a very good deal for Derby County and a signing that I think may well prove to be a great piece of business.

'Kaz has a terrific pedigree. He has experienced Champions League football and international football, as well as playing for Porto, one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

'He is a left-footed central midfielder who can certainly play, but at the same time is very strong and very physical.

'I think he is perfectly suited for English football.'

Jewell was talking to the official website.

With these two quality signings today that makes 11 new arrivals this summer, with Jewell completely remoulding the squad with great quality in a blend of youth and experience ahead of our Championship season.
