Derby Set To Loan Kazmierczak

The mystery midfielder with Champions League experience that Paul Jewell has been tracking has been revealed as Polish international Przemyslaw Kazmierczak, we need to think of a shorter name for him though! Jewell is bringing him in on a season loan from Porto and is very excited about his arrival.

'This is a very good deal for Derby County and a signing that I think may well prove to be a great piece of business.

'Kaz has a terrific pedigree. He has experienced Champions League football and international football, as well as playing for Porto, one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

'He is a left-footed central midfielder who can certainly play but at the same time is very strong and very physical.'

Jewell was talking to the official website.

The 26-year-old, who Jewell is already calling Kaz, has won nine caps for Poland and is a player we look certain to see plenty of at Pride Park this season, providing as expected the formalities of this move are completed early next week.
