Bodde Still Expected At Pride Park This Summer!

That is according to the latest Vital Derby poll results anyway, which sees most believing that Ferrie Bodde will still end up as a Derby player this summer. Maybe that should have read 'was still expected', as it seems highly unlikely he will now following Adam Pearson's latest comments.

Will the Bodde saga eventually end with a move to Pride Park?
Suggested by: Rammie
Yes (50%)
No (33%)
I don't really care either way (17%)

However it looks like the 50% will be wrong with Pearson confirming that we will not be increasing the offer that we have made to Swansea for the Dutchman and are now moving onto new targets, with two unidentified players being looked at.

'He [Ferrie Bodde] is our first choice but we are not prepared to pay over the odds.

'We have got a couple of other targets we are looking at. They are two extremely experienced European players and we will turn our attention to them.'

Pearson was talking to the Evening Telegraph.

Your Comments

To be fair the poll had been running prior to Pearson saying what he has just said.

This is what I said over at Vital Swansea now that he has signed a new contract with them, I'm glad that this matter is finally settled. He's a really good footballer so you can see why we (Derby) wanted him and you didn't want to sell him. Derby have gotten a lot of stick for the way things were handled, but I don't think any parties can come out of this with much credit, basically a case of six of one and half a dozen of another. Good luck for the season ahead.

thankyou for your comments Rammie just as happy as you are that this long drawn out saga is now over wish your club every success in future targets as long as they are not Swansea players good luck for the long season ahead please do the double over the Cardiff scum

All over now, i'm glad Bodde knows where he can get the best out of his game

Like I say I'm just gald to put this behind us, I'm just sad that some unpleasant words were exchanged between Derby and Swansea fans, buts thats football I suppose. When all is said and done neither side came out of this with great credit, and although Bodde has said sorry he needs to make up for what he was saying, but I'm sure he will get your backing, as he should but he needs to earn the trust back.
