Birmingham Target Pearson

Birmingham are being linked with Stephen Pearson, but reports of a £1m offer being received are being rejected by Derby chairman Adam Pearson.

With the club looking to cut the squad Pearson, who spent the end of last season on loan with Stoke, is fitting the bill as one of those to be moved on and Birmingham manager Alex McLeish is believed to be interested.

Reports on Thursday were saying that an offer of £1m had been received but Adam Pearson has rejected these reports in today's Evening Telegraph.

He's denying an offer has been made but he's not denying he's not up for sale. Really I think you'll have to get rid of at least 2-3 players Jewell is being unrealistic trying to keep the squad together and I here another one linked away is Villa to Sunderland?

Pearson probably will be one of those sold, and we have said players will go, maybe as many as six of them. I'd not heard the Villa rumours, where were these?
